I don’t know about you, but during the winter months and being cooped up inside makes me eager for spring and the warm weather. Being cooped up also makes me eager to do some DIY home projects and our recent projects were redoing our office space and powder room on the lower level.

When we built our house 8 years ago, you know the main things you want for the house, but the intricate details might not be all figured out. After realizing we needed to improve the aesthetics in both the office and powder room we got to work.

Office Space: We repainted using Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog (9130) and Alabaster (7008). My husband also created the accent wall after some of my ideas I had put together from things I found on Pinterest.

Powder Room: We repainted using Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog (9130) and Alabaster (7008). We also originally had builder grade fixtures and after going to our local hardware store (Hartville Hardware) we were able to find the perfect match for that space. We ended up going with Delta Champagne Bronze fixtures and they are just beautiful. Our previous fixtures were platinum and just did not go with the room. This color matches the countertop perfectly and is a great complement to the Evergreen Fog

We know we did not want to spend an arm and a leg on the projects, but just revamping the space with a little paint and changing out some of the lighting fixtures. I am so fortunate that I have a husband that is so handy and is able to bring my ideas and designs to life. It is amazing what a little bit of paint and changing of light fixtures will do for a space and I couldn’t be happier. It is possible to revamp your living space on a budget and not to spend a ton of money doing it.
